ESP Truck Accessories started as an idea. Like most of us, I was comuting 30 miles one way to work. While driving home one night in my new 2014 Tundra CrewMax, the freeway went from 70mph to 5mph in an instant. After slamming on my brakes, my trailer ball came out from under the rear seat and hit my center console. I thought that if anyone would have been sitting back there, they could have gotten seriously hurt. So I thought about it for a bit and came up with an idea for storage. I made a melamine top with three cutouts in the top, and proceeded to cut up my new truck. Once I had the carpet and foam cut out and the melamine top sitting there, I neede metal boxes to go into the openings. Having a daughter that works for a laser cutting and fab shop that makes a lot of the bumpers for different manufacturers, I went to them looking to get the boxes made. After sitting down with the designer, we came up with a design, and I had one made for my truck. After it was done, I posted it on one of the Tundra forums, and as they say, "The rest is history." We now make them for 6 different makes and models, with more on the way. We will be celebrating our third anniversary in February, and have been blessed so far. I spent 23 years with Toyota, and I try to design products that look like they belong in the vehicles from the factory. If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me. I am looking forward to being a vendor here on Tundra Crew.
